The Irish Republic is well covered by a rail network in the south and a mainline service runs the east coast from Dublin to Londonderry in Norther Ireland including, on route, Belfast. The coastal towns of Cork, Kilamey, Trelee, Galway and Westport are all reached by major lines spreading out from Dublin. Minor train lines cover most of the south of Ireland but not the north or northwest.
Northern Ireland has a limited rail service which skirts around the north & east coast and has connections to Dublin.
