Capital Grille Steakhouse

For over five years, Sahara Grille has served the Canton, Ohio population at 4794 Dressler Rd NW, replacing the Italian Oven, and situated between the Olive Garden and A1 Japanese Steakhouse. With a combined 15 years experience between the owners and staff one could not argue with the service, presentation, or pricing. And for over 40 years, the Desert Inn located at 300 12th St. NW in Canton, Ohio, has served the area family-style Middle Eastern cuisine and developed a solid reputation from out-of-town travelers.

Dining Options at Both Restaurants a Big Draw

The Wednesday evening/Sunday afternoon buffet at Sahara Grille draws an ample crowd. Recently the buffet has expanded (as has the local Golden Valley Restaurant) from Monday through Saturday for lunch at $7.99 and Sunday from 11am to 230pm at $10.99.There are multiple options of Middle Eastern cuisine, both baked, fried, and raw - and all products are routinely updated and refreshed. Both feature a family-style type of dining, although it does not explicitly state so on Sahara Grille's website. During Sahara's buffet, however, Grecian salad, rice pilaf, and broasted potatoes are available, as it is at The Desert Inn, only Sahara replaces the garlic toast with all the pita bread one can consume. Unfortunately, due to lack of demand, potato kibbie has been removed from Sahara's menu, although they do still retain many choices for raw juice drinks and smoothies.

On the Desert Inn's website, it indicates the ability to make any menu item family-style as described above - and although not explicitly stated, it would be reasonable to order several dishes, much like at another popular local ethnic restaurant, Bombay Sitar, to order several dishes and pass them around for everyone to have the chance to sample a variety of entrees. More moderate pricing at the Sahara Grille, as well as the Wednesday evening or Sunday afternoon buffets make this restaurant the easier on the wallet choice in a tough economy. Although consumer reviews indicate it as almost a necessity to try The Desert Inn at least once.
